Pasta Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1kg beef mince
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 clove garlic- crushed
  • 1 large tin of crushed tomato
  • 2 tins of tomato puree
  • 1 small tub tomato paste
  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • Chopped parsley or basil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2tsp sugar

Method

  1. In a heavy pan heat the oil.
  2. Then add onion, garlic and mince and brown.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, puree, paste, water, salt and pepper, parsley (or basil) and sugar.
  4. Bring to boil, then simmer for 2 hours stirring occasionally.
