LOCAL MLA COMPLETES THE BOSTON MARATHON IN GOOD TIME.

Dr Tony Buti completed the Boston Marathon yesterday and was happy with his time of
3hours 19 minutes and 51 seconds for the 42 Kilometre run.

Only 26 seconds from his personal best, set on the flat Melbourne course in 2012, is
impressive.

“Most people do not do a personal best at Boston as the course is demanding on the legs
with many downhill and uphill segments.” Dr Buti said.

“I probably ran my best tactical marathon – not out too fast to save some juice for the hills in
the second half.”

“The atmosphere was brilliant and of course this year the marathon had extra significance
and emotion – “Boston Strong” is ever implanted in my marathon mind.”

“I would like to thank the many people of Armadale for the great support.”
“I drew on that support at different stages of the run.”
